ABOUT ME

Welcome! I’m Alex Merrick, a drummer, music producer, and music composer for hire with an immense attention to detail and motivation for creating meaningful art. I’ve been playing drums for a total of 10 years and completed my bachelor’s degree in Media Scoring and Production at the Frost School of Music in 2025. Since high school, I’ve been in several bands encompassing a wide range of genres such as alternative rock, heavy metal, singer-songwriter, fusion, funk, and more. My experience working with musicians from all backgrounds has given me an appreciation for all styles of music and the ability to effectively express myself in each one.
